be your own champion...

Today-  I was browsing the internet and I came across this saying, it inspired me so I wanted to share it with my readers!

"People love you. They do, and they always will. But in the end, you must be your own champion. The only person who can truly teach the world about your marvelous, sensual, graceful, unique, lovely, and undeniably beautiful self is YOU. When you believe you’re beautiful, the world believes right along with you.
Loving yourself is hard. It’s work. It’s never-ending and there are a thousand forces working against your success. But believe me when I say it is worth the effort. You are worth the effort. Put that effort forth and you will be dazzled by the world of opportunity that unfolds before you."

My Infamous Meet with My Nutritionist....After two months of not going!!!!

Hello Friends and Followers!
Well, after my whole personal trainer incident I made a wise choice and get back with Principal Nutrition since my financial standpoint has increased a tad. I met with Eric today on my lunch hour to do my weigh in and discuss my meals and mindset. Apparently, I slipped back a tad I went from eating five small meals a day back to three meals….NOT GOOD PEOPLE! My emotions have been controlling my food choices lately again- NOT GOOD! I have taken ownership for those choices and regarding my emotional eating well needless to say this will always be a struggle for me! The scale said I weighed in at 170 pounds from my previous weight of 165 pounds. When he put me on the machine they use it showed I gained muscle and my fat percentage increased however it kinda washed itself out. Meaning I really only gained fat by 2 pounds the other weight was fluid and muscle intake. So I didn’t put too much stress on myself for my weight gain….but any weight gain is not a good thing! So I am taking action yet again I will be increasing my water even more, getting back to the five small meals and LOGGING MY FOOD!! I can’t stress this enough logging food keeps you accountable, maybe that’s why I stopped but I can’t stop any more! Finally, I need to be honest here SPIN Classes SCARE ME!! No idea why I literally walk to the door and immediately run away, but no more Eric assured me I can handle a spin class. He told me to take a class from now until Sunday so that he gets my booty moving! I am still super nervous but I will do it!! My next meeting & weigh in will next Wednesday, I will keep you posted on my success because there will be no failures here!!!

Riding the Waves....

Hello Friends and Followers:

Well after yesterday’s event, I am merely riding the stress waves! The “trainer” finally responded to my multiple attempts to reach him, only for him to say “something happened to my phone; I just bought a new one.” In my response back to Mr. Trainer I stated and merely pointed out how within two hours of our appointment in my previous text around 5pm in the afternoon your phone was working perfectly fine as you gladly responded-until our 7pm appointment rolled around. I also stated that I would like to be reimbursed some of the money that I spent my long hard hours working trying to attain. Mr. Trainer replied back stating that I was making assumptions on his behalf….Assumptions!!! Now let’s sit and think for a moment…. This isn’t the first time it’s the FOURTH time Mr. Trainer hasn’t shown up for an appointment. If this was the first time I would give a benefit of the doubt. As things occur in life and I understand that.  Mr. Trainer then stated that he cared about me and wants to train me this evening and that he wants to assist me in reaching my goals. Hmmmm…. I think NOT!!!! If Mr. Trainer has common courtesy to let me know he couldn’t make FOUR appointments that would mean he actually cared for something other than himself and those beefy muscles of his. C’mon I may be overweight but I am no dummy, I have common sense and I know when someone is jerking me around. In my final text messages to him, I simply stated this – “I am not assuming anything this is the fourth occurrence of you not calling and not showing up for our scheduled appointments. I have paid you money that I really didn’t have in order to lose weight and give your new business venture a chance. When I couldn’t make appointments I would let you know in advance ALWAYS. I am extremely disappointed in your actions and I pray that one day you become successful and learn how to conduct business by not using the people who give you chances.” His response in return was “Well, I don’t have your money I just paid rent and I’m short on cash.” I advised him that I will give him until the 25th of December to refund at least half of my money. Do you think I got a response back--- NO!!!
Lesson of the Day is:  if you can’t conduct yourself in a professional manner then you should not be running a business. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
For now I will continue to work out at LA Fitness and try out some of their classes until I find a trainer that actually gives a shit about the well being of their clients and overall is a professional individual. If anyone know of one in the Boca Raton or Fort Lauderdale area please let me know by contacting me thru my email: ashleymatias5711@gmail.com .

Severely Disappointed and Very Frustrated!

Hello Friends and Followers,

This is a very different post this evening as I am quite upset that I have entrusted someone to help "train me" so I can reach my final goals of losing the weight. Only to be let down, this particular individual I have trained with for several months and we started training with his new business venture. I was excited because I knew I was driven to reach my final goal. Over the last week or so I have had four appointments to meet and train for one hour increments only to find out that my trainer was M.I.A. never texted or called to let me know that he could not make it. He did text me the next morning after the first time he did not show and said " he left out of town last minute and it would never happen again." Only to come this evening and for it to happen yet again! I guess I am just so over the "shady" types of people that work in the fitness industry that love to take advantage of overweight individuals and paint them the picture perfect dream only to flake out on them. Whatever  happen to people genuinely giving a shit about others?!? (excuse the cursing, not in a great mood.) In the past year or so I have spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars only to try and become physically fit enough so "society" would lay off my back and for me not to get called those horrible names. Yet even today the forty eight pounds I have lost, is not enough for some people! I say SCREW WHAT SOCIETY THINKS OF BEAUTY!!!! Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes! Tonight really opened my eyes to what I never want to happen again, the thought of being taken advantage of within the fitness industry has literally made me want to be sick and cry!!! Not to mention- BINGE on my Nutrition- one of the most important factors in my life. I won't do it, I won't give these people the satisfaction any more! I know my worth and I won't settle for less any longer, I will pray for this person who has decided to "screw me over" in hopes that this doesn't happen again to another women or man attempting to lose weight!
On a lighter note, my nutritionist Christi with Principle Nutrition is like an ANGEL in disguise and is a supportive peace to my fitness puzzle. Even though I am not currently seeing her right now due to financial hardships she still manages to offer a shoulder and helpful words of encouragement. THANK YOU SO MUCH CHRISTI!!!!!

As for my friends and avid followers - I cannot thank you enough for making me feel better and your kind words means so much to me!!!
